In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, I would like to first say that our thoughts and prayers are with those affected by the corona-virus in Tanzania and around the world. We at LEAT are safe even though the United Republic of Tanzania government has confirmed 19 cases of COVID-19 in the country with one fatality.

As we closely monitor the impact in the country and follow health and safety guidelines provided by the Government, we are planning to take measures to ensure the health and safety of our staff, while maintaining the highest level of services to our partners and communities.

Consequently, as more authorities and institutions across the country have closed schools, and are limiting large gatherings and taking other measures to create social distance to minimize the spread of COVID-19, we have asked our staff to work from home with effect from March 31st, 2020 to April 14th, 2020. We will reboot our technology to enable our staff to efficiently and effectively perform their work remotely. Also we will be reached through emails, office email ( and mobile phones. LEAT will continue to tailor our approach to meet and support our partners and communities.

On behalf of all of our colleagues at LEAT, I wish you, your teams and your loved ones Godspeed in confronting the challenges posed by this unprecedented pandemic.
