The SRJS is a four year program and is striving to work towards sustainably managed landscapes that provide the most essential ecosystem services on which local communities and broader economic development depends. The vision for SRJS 2020 is a robust and vibrant civil society that is able to meet the challenges of the future in an ever more globalized world. In Tanzania, the SRJS project is being implemented within the Rukwa– Katavi Landscape.
LEAT’s work is to make sure that the laws and policies that govern the landscape resources are harmonized and are effectively implemented. LEAT is also leading the program through its Coordination Unit, which is based in Sumbawanga..
