Organized and conducted several workshops in Buhongwa ward and trained members of health risks and dangers that may be caused by air and environmental pollution that is caused by the Mwanza City Council's dumping of wastes in their residential areas. Discussed also were the possible legal measures that can be taken against the authority.

Sharing legal tools and experiences with CLEAN MIKOCHENI TRUST on how to deal with pollution problems giving particular practical experiences that LEAT has encountered in Lake Victoria.
Providing Legal Consultancy to the Mwanza City Council in matters relating to environmental pollution in the City.
Defending Mkolani Community in their District Civil Case #37 of 2002 that has been filed against them by The Mkolani Fish Drying and Selling Society. The community leadership had ordered the closure of the fish drying and selling activities in the area for its air and environmental pollution. Thereafter the Society applied for an order of injunction in the court, and then filed the said case against them. The case is still in court. In this, LEAT works in collaboration with the Mwanza City Council.
Drafted an Advocacy Strategy for Community-Based Natural Resources Management and Environmental Rights for ACORD (Agency for cooperation and Research in Development). The report is to be used by ACORD to educate communities in the Lake Victoria zone on their environmental rights.
